Mighty No. 9 is an amazing game that really delivers. The gameplay is smooth, and the dash mechanic is a standout feature—so much fun and really makes every stage a blast.
Playing as Call is a highlight for me. She has a unique playstyle, and even though she only has one stage, it’s a great addition. The Ray DLC is fantastic, too. The health degradation mechanic adds an exciting twist to the battles and keeps things intense.
The story is engaging, though I prefer how the Japanese version plays it straight. The English version added some cheesy dialogue on top, which wasn’t really needed.
Visually, while the cartoony designs aren’t my favorite, I think an anime style might have suited the game better, but that’s just a personal preference. Despite that, I still enjoy the game’s overall look.
Overall, Mighty No. 9 is a blast and really hits the mark. I’d love to see what a sequel could bring!
